I grew up in a Christian home and knew God all my life. Wait, let me re-phrase: I knew about God all my life. When I was 7 I accepted Jesus as my Saviour and Redeemer, and He became Lord over my life. I grew up in a traditional church but was only introduced to Holy Spirit when I was about 9 years old.
One night God spoke to me so clearly — I can still remember the sound of His voice! — and He told me: “LIVE the DREAM!”
At that stage I didn’t understand it at all, but I know now what He meant! The dreams and hopes inside my heart are of Him! He has great things in store for me — and I get to be an instrument in His hand. When I was 14 I made a distinct choice to follow Jesus with everything and all that I am — He is Lord over all of me, or He isn’t Lord at all! For the first time since accepting Christ did I understand what HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD truly meant. I’ve grown over the past years and I still have much to learn. Through relationship God healed many wounds over my heart. He supernaturally touched and changed my heart and my mind to see things as He sees them!
Since 2005, God has shared about the dreams that He has for me and the things He has planned. I’ve always had a great love for Africa, and God has told me on several occasions that He wants me to go to North and Western Africa. In 2009, God for the first time told me that I should go to Nigeria. As of now, I’m not certain what I should do when I get there, or even WHEN I have to go, but I know God is in control and He always equips me to whatever He calls me.
I go on missions quite often and I regard these outreaches as training school for Life. I believe every Christian is called to be a missionary — to share the good news wherever you are!
My prayer is that you’ll come to know God closely and intimately. May you hear His voice and discover the calling on your life. May you always LIVE the DREAM!
